It has a little humor, shows them a taste of my personality, and gets them excited for what's to come.
I get crazy high reply rates on this, and many of my customers go on to purchase my other products directly after reading this.
Now you might be wondering "isn't it unprofessional to show your personality like this in your emails"?
Not at all.
People buy from other people, not faceless brands. The more you can show your personality, the more people will know like and trust you, and the more they’ll buy your stuff exclusively.
If you choose to use the copy/paste templates your ESP gives you, or ones that you find floating around the internet, you'll be like every other Tom Dick and Harry out there... falling in the 99% trash email bucket. Inject some personality into your emails and you'll thank me later :-)
